Joshua Tree December 2024

Visiting Joshua Tree State Park has become a tradition for us at year end. We all love the high desert terrain and the beautiful starry night sky. And of course the quirky Joshua trees.

The fields of trees are dramatic in any light.

My favorite vistas are the rocky formations.

I took some funny photos of Zoë holding up the boulders.

I also love how life can push it's way through those rocks--the power of life to persevere.

I also like the imagery of the remains of sporadic fires.

And the various cacti.

But best of all is the time spent with John and Zoë enjoying our surrounds.

On our way back we drove to San Diego and stopped at some breweries, a favorite family activity.

It was a lovely way to end 2024.
